Upstairs from downstairs An eye-pleasing staircase with tailored cope-and-stick wall paneling, it serves as the informal entrance to the living quarters served by the hallway shown in the previous photo.

This fireplace surround features classic plinth-block detailing and double-paneled columns.

A combination armoire, bookcase and cabinet. Crown cornice molding gives the piece its traditional styling. Design by Alexandra Luhrs.
